  • Create new product roadmaps and strategic vision planning with shared stakeholders.

04.2011 - 04.2014:

  • Client engagement: Proposals, project status reviews, design reviews.

  • Managed project schedule, led design, and coordinated supplier efforts for induction cooktop.

  • Managed project schedule, engineering, industrial design and sourcing for ReadyDock iPad docking/UVC disinfection station.

  • Designed mechanical system for ReadyDock iPad disinfection station, participated in user interface design.

  • Co-led design and ergonomics study of a hand-held consumer product.

  • Designed prototype patient transfer system comprising a bed, wheelchair, and docking mechanism.

  • Fabricated prototype patient transfer system from the ground up, including sourcing, machining, and assembling parts into fully functioning prototypes.

  • Demonstrated functional patient transfer system at private investor event.

  • Led O2 Concepts oxygen concentrator manufacturing plant setup including: lean workflow, fixturing/inspection, process improvement, and inventory optimization.


Sikorsky Aircraft - Mechanical Engineer, Transmissions

04.2005 - 04.2011

  • Provided engineering support for customers, suppliers, and plant operations. Duties included manufacturing process improvements, disposition of nonconforming parts, drawing corrections/improvements, etc.

  • Analyzed structural integrity of repaired parts and design improvements using ANSYS.

  • Provided technical support for new casting supplier approvals for Flight Safety part production.

  • POC for continuous improvement ACE Team activities and functional group metric monitoring.

  • Designed and analyzed next-gen helicopter gearbox including bearing, gear, and housing design/analysis for US Army program.

  • Designed composite driveshafts for the UH-60M BLACKHAWK; This project involved preliminary design and analysis, detailed design, design reviews with US Army, status reporting, multi-tiered manufacturing/supplier support, test support, etc.

  • Led mechanical design for a high-speed carbon composite driveshaft for Pratt & Whitney test rig.

  • Coordinated sensor integration for drive system health monitoring systems into the H-60 BLACKHAWK; duties included design, scheduling, employee assignments, and reporting project status.

    Additional: Flight Safety Review Board member; trained in GD&T; experience with machining, carbon composite resin transfer molding, magnesium sand castings, government standards, export control licensing, flight critical part supplier approval. Participated in Junior Achievement Days.
